Live-Streaming for Business: How, When, and Why You Should Use It

Social media is big—but video is getting bigger. Part of the reason why is the amazing growth of live streaming.

Live streaming is just what it sounds like—a video that a person or a company shares, that offers content or insight or one-of-a-kind experiences. For example, you may live stream a special event or a reveal, to name just two things. And what makes live streaming so amazing is how low-tech and low-investment it is: If you have an internet connection at work and a recording device, such as a smart phone, you can enter the world of live streaming.

For brands, live streaming offers some really interesting advantages. It removes this layer between themselves and customers, increasing transparency so that people feel like they have an “in” that other a select few have. That in turn boosts trustworthiness in their relationship with the company.
